Clinical Asset Index ("CAI") is a service operated by V.O.S Supply Group LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Company," "we," or "us"). CAI is an observed-listing market intelligence service for used clinical, dental, optometry, and lab equipment. CAI aggregates publicly listed asking prices from multiple marketplaces and presents peer-group medians, source breakdowns, and standardized device pages. CAI is a research and decision-support tool.
CAI is NOT: an appraisal, a sale-price report, medical advice, clinical advice, regulatory advice, a recommendation that any specific device is "safe" or "better" in any clinical sense, or an agent of any device manufacturer. Listing data is "asking-price intelligence", not sold-price.
CAI is not an authorized reseller, agent, or representative of, and is not endorsed or sponsored by, any marketplace or manufacturer. CAI participates in the eBay Partner Network affiliate program and may earn a commission on certain outbound links; see our Affiliate Disclosure. That is the only such commercial relationship.
You may use CAI to browse and compare used equipment listings, view peer-group medians, verify a listing URL or screenshot against CAI's index, read published methodology and blog content, and save items to your own account. You may not: scrape, mirror, or resell CAI's data in bulk; attempt to circumvent access controls; abuse the AI assistants (Iris, the listing kit, the verifier) to generate bulk content; impersonate any seller, dealer, or manufacturer; or submit content that violates third-party rights.
CAI uses large language models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) for vision extraction, content drafts, and assistance. AI-generated text (listing-kit drafts, Iris answers, marketing drafts) is provided as a starting point and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it. Do not rely on AI output for clinical, regulatory, or safety decisions.
Device images shown on CAI are AI-generated photorealistic renderings produced by us (locked style, no manufacturer brand text). We do not scrape or reproduce manufacturer product photography. Where a third-party image is used (Wikimedia Commons), attribution and license appear on /image-attribution. Listings displayed by CAI link back to their primary public source; the linked source is the authoritative version.
Pricing data is collected from public, robots.txt-respecting fetches of marketplace pages. Counts, medians, and live-listing claims reflect what CAI has observed; they may be incomplete or stale. Always verify condition, service history, regulatory status, and seller claims independently before purchasing. See /methodology for how the numbers are produced.
The Verify a Listing tool accepts a URL or a screenshot. The Listing Kit accepts a device photo. Do not upload anything containing protected health information (PHI), personally identifiable information (PII), financial details, or social security numbers. Uploaded content is used solely to extract equipment and pricing information.
Where you choose to sign in, submit a dealer lead, request a listing alert, or save items to your account, CAI stores only the data you supply (email address, item identifiers, and a small JSON snapshot of the item at save time). Saved items are private to your account. We will not sell your personal information.
CAI is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. CAI does not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that any specific listing on a third-party site is available or accurately described by that site.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of CAI. Total liability for any direct claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid CAI in the 12 months preceding the claim (browsing CAI is free). If you pay for an Equipment Valuation Report and CAI cannot deliver a report meeting the stated scope, your payment is refunded in full.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or CAI shall be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
